Belarus became the leader among the countries of the Eurasian Economic Union in terms of industrial production growth in January-May of this year, BelTA learned from the press service of the Eurasian Economic Commission (EEC).
In January-May 2023, industrial production in the EAEU rose by 1.9% year-on-year. «All member states posted the growth in industrial production: Belarus — 4.1%, Armenia — 3%, Kazakhstan — 2.4%, Russia — 1.8% and Kyrgyzstan — 1.2%,» the EEC said.
In terms of industries, the manufacturing sector became the growth driver in the EAEU, with a 4.8% increase in January-May.
