Rakuten Viber has made the group chat summary feature available to all Ukrainians. The feature, based on Open AI technology, analyzes 5 to 100 unread messages in a group chat and highlights the key points in a summary per message. You don’t have to read the entire conversation and get a summary of its content.
According to Rakuten Viber in Ukraine, two-thirds of Ukrainians communicate in group chats on a monthly basis or more. The new feature will help save time reading messages in school, neighborhood, work, and other group chats.

In addition to the chat summary, Rakuten Viber reminds you of other useful features for group chats:
- To ensure that no participant in a group chat loses an important message, you can pin it. The pinned message will remain at the top of the screen, and clicking on it will take you directly to the message in the chat. To pin a message: press and hold the message → select Pin.
- To find specific details in a chat, you don’t need to scroll through the entire message feed – you can use Chat Search. To do this: click on the name of the selected chat → select Search in Chat.
- For additional protection of sensitive information (addresses, passwords, etc.), use the disappearing messages. Such messages are automatically deleted at a predefined time and cannot be forwarded or copied. To turn on the message mce in chat: press the plus sign → select “Message mce” → choose how long the message will remain visible → enter a message and click Send .
